South Forsyth High School
South Forsyth High School is committed to preparing students for the performance demands of the future. South Forsyth focuses on improving the quality of instruction in the academic arena as well as the technical career area. The results of their efforts show that students are improving their learning skills and are vastly improving their opportunities to attend college, technical institutes or join the workforce. During 4 years of high school, block scheduling is utilized to allow graduates to earn 32 Carnegie units.
A wide range of student activities, including athletics, academic teams, foreign language clubs, journalism experiences, instrumental and vocal music organizations, and other special interest/skills clubs are available to interested students. Secondary schools offer additional clubs and honor societies as well as comprehensive athletic programs in both individual and team sports. Scholarship opportunities and Special Programs such as Governor's Honors are available for eligible students as well.
Daves Creek Elementary School
Daves Creek Elementary is located in the old Daves Creek community where a one-room school house served students in the early years of the last century. Today the once rural area is a bustling suburb in busy south Forsyth County. The kindergarten program offers flexible, full-day learning experiences designed to enhance the physical, emotional and cognitive development of young children. Much emphasis is placed on the mastery of basic reading and math skills.
Instructional activities are designed to provide opportunities in which students actively participate in their learning. Hands-on activities provide students with experiences which require problem-solving and application of concepts and skills. The elementary curriculum includes an integrated, skill-based language arts program (reading, writing, spelling and English) math, science, social studies, foreign language, health, physical education, art and music. South Forsyth Middle School
South Forsyth Middle School is a beautiful, well-maintained, state of the art facility that is less than five years old support our superb instructional program. Technology and computer labs are complemented by student workstations in every classroom and portable computer labs which may include student check-out options.
