Construction will begin shortly after the local county or municipality issues the building permit(s) necessary for your home. Obtaining permits can take from three weeks up to a few months, depending on location. We will do everything we can to move permitting along in a timely fashion.

Once construction begins, it generally takes three to six months from excavation until move-in. Typical time intervals during construction are:

• Excavation to foundation completion – 2 weeks
• Framing, structure enclosure, and roof completion – 2 weeks
• Installation of electrical, plumbing, and heating/cooling – 2 weeks
• Interior drywall installation, trim, and painting – 1 month
• Flooring, countertops, final fixture installation, and interior finishes – 1 month
• Final county inspection and move-in approval – 5 to 10 days
